That’s right ladies and gents…today at the offices of Rohn Strong we are so pleased to be part of the Holla Knits Accessories blog tour! And on the third day at that!
So for you’s out there that may not know…Holla Knits is a fun new site dedicated to bringing you knits you’re sure to love: bold, challenging, flirty designs you want to knit and wear immediately. Holla Knits is bridging the gap between what you knit and what you wear every day. (So well put by Allyson Dykhuizen!)
Now, onto what we are here for…the Accessory Collection!
Now, as most of you know, my forte when it comes to knitting is…well…on the ‘vintage’ side of things. These modern trends fascinate me! However, when a designer gets it right, they get it right.
Note: Just click on any of the photo’s for more details/photos/stuffs!
From the moment the collection was given to me I was in love with one pattern above all. The Scallop of the Sea designed by Katie Canavan, caught my eye immediately. It is this over-sized stranded color-work clutch that is just adorable!
There is something about the scallops, size, and colors, all coming together to make a project that just makes my needles itch!
I also have to say Allyson’s own pattern, Multiplicity, a cross body bag that is constructed with double knitting and has a gorgeous zig zag pattern!
I was looking for something to make my cousins for Christmas and because I am going the Little House on the Prairie route and making EVERYTHING this Christmas, I cannot wait to whip a few of these up while I am on my book tour!
Needless to say, Allyson and the wonderful designers who are a part of this great collection have pulled it off.
The entire collection includes six patterns all individual and beautiful in their own rite.
Here are the photos of the remaining four!
You can view the entire collection/meet the designers here!
So here is the other fun part!
Allyson has offered to give one free pattern away to a lucky person!! YAY!
So to be entered in the drawing…all you have to do is leave the comment, “I love Holla Knits Accessories!”
That is it!
For an extra entree you can tweet:
“I just entered to win a pattern out of the new Holla Knits Accessory Collection, You can enter with @rohnstrong , too! http://bit.ly/UPjwd3″
There you have it! I will choose a winner at random 17 October 2012 at midnight! WOOT!!
One last thing! Don’t forget to follow the rest of the blog tour for more chances to win free stuff and get to know the whole collection a bit better!
